Fairly Amy - Sizing Information

One of my course mates at uni hated shopping because of sizing issues. Because she was 'larger than the average size', she hated the stigma involved with having to go into a 'plus size' shop and the size of the number she was having to buy.

Everyone has days when they can just squeeze into that smaller sized item of clothing you hang onto...or when your normal size in a shop is too big and you have to buy something smaller. It's a good feeling. But people really don't have that much of a clue about how big they are. If they were offered various sizes of clothing, with no labels, I doubt that many people would be able to successfully select their correct size.

So my sizing has tried to take into account all of these issues. I usually use S, M and L. This is used as a rough guide, as I have measured all of the items on my website, and listed the exact measurements of everything, with the idea being that my customers can take a few measurements of themselves, and get a good idea of what will fit.

A lot of people get confused when they see my clothes, as they are so colourful, they are not sure whether they are for children or adults. Many people have absolutely no idea how big their children/relatives are and so pick up completely the wrong size.

However, as the above charts show, there is a large crossover between older children and small adult sizes, and so my motto is:

'If it fits - wear it - don't care about the size'
